Bulk domain availability checker

Type up to 20 names, pick the extensions and see which domains are still unregistered. Every answer comes straight from the registry over RDAP, and your searches never pass through a reseller.

What "likely available" means

Each check asks the registry of the extension over RDAP. When the registry answers 404 Not Found, it has no registration record for the name, which almost always means you can register it. It is still not a guarantee:

  • Registries reserve or block some names (brands, geographic names, short or offensive words). They may answer 404 and still refuse the registration.
  • Premium names are unregistered but sold at a higher price. RDAP does not show prices.
  • A name can be registered by someone else seconds after the check.

A name shown as registered has a record at the registry; the table adds the expiry date and registrar where the registry shares them. For .de and other registries that do not answer web pages, the page falls back to DNS: no DNS, unconfirmed means the name has no nameservers, which is a good sign but not proof. Always confirm at a registrar before you rely on a name.

Your searches go from your browser to the registries and Cloudflare DNS. We do not see or store them.

// questions

Frequently asked questions

How does the checker know if a domain is available?

It asks the registry that runs the extension, for example Verisign for .com, over RDAP. A 404 answer means there is no registration record for the name.

Can I check one name across many extensions?

Yes. Type the bare name, such as brightpath, and tick the extensions you want. Each name is paired with every ticked extension, up to 200 checks in one go.

Is it safe to search for my idea here?

The page has no server of its own. Each question goes from your browser directly to the registry, so no reseller sees your list. We cannot see it either.

Does it show prices or premium domains?

No. Registries do not publish prices over RDAP, and premium names look like any other unregistered name. Check the price at a registrar.

Why are .co, .me and .eu missing?

Their registries have no public RDAP server, so a web page cannot ask them. Enter a full domain such as name.eu to get a DNS based hint, or use the Apify actor, which asks WHOIS servers too.

How can I check thousands of names?

Use Domain Availability Checker on Apify: a list of names times a list of extensions, one row per combination, with the method that decided each answer.
