How to check which ATS a company uses
- Open the company's careers page and click any job.
- Look at the address of the job, or of its Apply button. Most systems host the application form on their own domain, even when the job list sits on the company website.
- If the address stays on the company domain, open the page source (Ctrl+U or Cmd+Option+U) and search for the names below. Embedded job boards load a script from their system.

How the data is collected
The companies come from public career sites only. We find job boards of 14 applicant tracking systems in the Common Crawl web archive and read each board's public job list every day for a job index of over a million openings. A company is counted when its board answered with a company name. Counts reflect what we could discover, which favours systems with public, crawlable boards: this is not a market share estimate, and enterprise systems such as Workday, Oracle and iCIMS are undercounted by companies but strong by jobs.
No personal data is collected: company names, career page addresses and job counts only.

What is the most popular applicant tracking system?
In our data the most common system by number of companies is BambooHR (6,198 companies), followed by Greenhouse and Workable. By open jobs, Workday leads with 541,168, because its customers are large employers. Our counts reflect public, discoverable boards, so treat them as a sample rather than market share.
Which ATS do large companies use?
The systems with the most open jobs per company are Workday, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, iCIMS. Large enterprises mostly run Workday, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, SmartRecruiters or iCIMS; startups favour Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby.

Among companies hiring mainly in European countries, the most common systems in our data are Personio, Teamtailor, Workable.
